Mirella has 7 years experience in developing funding proposals for a variety of public and private donors in the fields of violence against women and girls, sexual, reproductive health and rights and global health.
Prior to joining TfG Mirella worked at Girl Effect as a Senior Manager of Partnerships, managing proposals for high-value foundation partnerships and building capacity of colleagues in proposal development. Prior to Girl Effect Mirella worked at Options Consultancy Services Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marie Stopes Reproductive Choices in the business development team, bid managing contract and grant proposals for bilateral and multilateral donors such as the UK Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) and the World Bank. Mirella also spent a number of years in proposal development roles at Refuge, the UK’s largest specialist provider of domestic violence services in the UK.
Mirella has a BA in International Relations from the University of Leicester and an MSc in International Development from the University of Edinburgh.
