At a school in the department of Arauca in Colombia, a seventh-grade class turned a mural into a space where chidren and adolescents can reflect on gender stereotypes and violence against children, helping to create a school free from violence.
As part of the Niñas Poderosas initiative, Tejiendo Redes Infancia and Together for Girls organized a gathering to create a space for intergenerational dialogue, sisterhood, and collective action, where young women were able to share their initiatives.
Even in the face of challenges, seeds of hope can take root. When we support girls and young women to develop leadership skills and build networks of support and sisterhood, they become critical agents of social change towards equality.
