Botswana Violence Against Children and Youth Survey (VACS) report 2019 (data collection 2015)

In 2015, the Government of Botswana launched the Violence Against Children and Youth Survey (VACS), with technical assistance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as part of the Together for Girls partnership.

In 2019, the Government of Botswana launched its official VACS report.

Partners included:

  • Government: Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and Statistics Botswana.
  • Bilateral and multilateral organizations: UNICEF, CDC Division of Violence Prevention, and PEPFAR.
  • Non-government: Civil society organizations included Childline Botswana; Young Women Christian Association (YWCA), and Kagisano Society Women’s Shelter.
