Institutional responses to child maltreatment guidebook

The Guidebook explains the studies on Giving Evidence's Evidence and Gap Map (EGM) so they can be better understood and applied.

The EGM gathers rigorous impact evaluations (‘what works studies’) in institutional responses to child abuse.

The guidebook contains:

  • Summaries of individual studies

  • Syntheses of the studies

  • The main research findings

It complements the EGM by summarising the evidence on the Evidence and Gap Map to help funders, policymakers, practitioners and others access the information they need to make evidence-informed decisions.
